The Napa Sonoma ADU Center is a nonprofit that’s here to help you move from thought to action on your ADU vision today, because we know that Accessory Dwelling Units improve the health and well-being of both you and our community.
We like to say that Accessory Dwelling Units contribute to your Flexibility, Family, and Financial Security. And the benefits of ADUs extend beyond that, too: Building ADUs is a key way that we can collectively increase housing in Napa and Sonoma Counties for folks like nurses, firefighters, teachers, and others who live and work here yet struggle to afford the high cost of living in our community.
Did you know that about 50% of our workforce in Napa County and 30% of our workforce in Sonoma County has to commute here to work? Every ADU we build can provide a present or future home for one of these workers, which in turn improves health and educational outcomes for them and their families — while boosting our local economy and decreasing our carbon footprint, to boot!
I know firsthand just how much it means for me and my own family to be able to live and work here as a result of our sweet above-garage ADU.
