Vendor Directory
Find your professional team
Our mission is to help homeowners in Napa and Sonoma Counties build accessory dwelling units (ADUs) by providing homeowners with education, resources, and information.
One of the most common requests we get is for assistance with identifying the professional team that will help folks on their ADU project. To assist homeowners with this, on an ongoing basis we add vendors to the list below that can help you with a number of aspects of your ADU project.
The Napa Sonoma ADU Center’s role is limited to serving as an objective nonprofit resource for homeowners.
We want to help you ask the right questions to inform your decisions regarding the selection of a professional ADU team. Any contract for services on a homeowner’s ADU project is between each homeowner and your chosen professional team. Once you engage professionals, the Napa Sonoma ADU Center is available to help answer your questions on an as-needed basis along the way.
The list of industry professionals below is for informational purposes only. Napa Sonoma ADU cannot take responsibility for the services or conduct of any vendor.
You should make certain to conduct your own due diligence before engaging any professional for services on your ADU project, including requesting bids from an average of three professionals within the relevant vendor category before selecting the professional(s) that are the best fit for you and your ADU project. For more resources to guide your selection process, scroll to the bottom of this page. You can learn more about the overall ADU Process in our ADU Workbook.
If you have a poor experience with one of the vendors listed below, please reach out and let us know at: info@napasonomaadu.org.

Title 24 / CalGreen Energy Consultants
A Title 24/CalGreen Energy consultant is a specialist who analyzes architectural plans to ensure they comply with Title 24, the code section that deals with energy efficiency, and CalGreen, the “green building code.”
Typically the designer/architect will handle the relationship with the Title 24/CalGreen consultant. There may be 1 or 2 rounds of finessing the design to make it comply before it can be submitted to the jurisdiction for approval. Check out our ADU Workbook for more information on Title 24.
Some jurisdictions require that homeowners select a consultant from their list of approved vendors, including the City of Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, and City of Sonoma. Those lists of consultants, who can also work in other jurisdictions, are included here:
