Are you a homeowner in the City of Napa or City of Santa Rosa? If so, we’d love to have you join one of our new ADU Support Groups for Homeowners on Facebook!

Inspired by an ADU program in the City of Boston that saw great success with creating peer-to-peer learning spaces for local homeowners as they went through their ADU journeys, our goal is make it easier for you to connect with and learn from others in your city who are asking the same questions that you are about accessory dwelling units.

This is a pilot project, and we’re launching it with groups for folks in the cities of Napa and Santa Rosa -- click on the link below for your city to join:

The support groups are largely an opportunity for local homeowners to ask and answer each other’s questions about ADU planning, designing, permitting, building, and renting processes. Napa Sonoma ADU Center staff will lightly moderate the groups.

We encourage you to sign up and start talking and sharing about a range of ADU topics -- for example:

  • Does anyone have recommendations for ADU architects, designers, builders, & more?

  • Does anyone have an unpermitted ADU that they brought up to code, and how was the process with the city?

  • How long did it take for you to get your ADU application approved after submitting your application to the city?

  • Did anyone in this group build a prefab ADU, and if so what surprised you most about the process?

  • … And so much more!
