Lot coverage and floor area ratio must be met , except can build ADU up to 800 square feet without these limitations Minimum: 150 square feet for all ADUs Detached: Maximum of 850 square feet for studio or 1 bedroom; can be up to 1,000 square feet if 2 or more bedrooms Attached: Limited to whichever is larger: Up to 800 square feet or no more than 50% of primary residence Detached: One story maximum with height according to zone Attached: Same as that of primary dwelling unit Number of ADUs/JADUs allowed on single-family lot: One ADU or one JADU.
